Portland, OR – Oregon Senator Ron Wyden is cosponsoring legislation to help victims of sexual trafficking. The bill would create pilot projects in six states to establish shelters for victims and provide counseling, legal aid, education and job training, as well as fund additional police officers and prosecutors. Because of its location on the I-5 corridor, Eugene has experienced an increase in sex trafficking leading to more arrests and prosecution.
