Medford, OR – On Tuesday, October 25, 2011, Senator Ron Wyden will join Medford police and school officials to greet graduates of one of Southern Oregon’s first classes of the Gangs Resistance Education and Training (G.R.E.A.T.) program. G.R.E.A.T. gives students the tools they need to avoid becoming involved in gangs. The Medford Police Department created the program in response to the growing gang problem in Southern Oregon.
At 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Wyden will visit the Sustainable Valley Business Incubator, which provides coaching and other support to start-up businesses. He will meet with officials of the incubator as well as clients. The incubator is located at 131 E Main St, Suite 202, in Medford.
