Wyden Statement in Support of the Daschle-Lieberman Amendment to the Homeland Security Bill
"The provisions which attempt to shield drug companies from liability and assist those companies who move abroad in order to avoid paying taxes were not in any previous version of the homeland security legislation, and with good reason: they have nothing to do with homeland security. They were stuck into the bill at the last minute, without any public scrutiny or debate. This is raw, special interest politics, and it has no place in the Homeland Security bill."Next Article
