Wyden Cancels Town Halls in Crook, Jefferson, Deschutes, Klamath and Lake Counties Due to Weather

Portland, OR – Rather than ask people to risk traveling during bad weather, Senator Ron Wyden today cancelled five town hall meetings in five Central Oregon counties. Town halls were scheduled in Prineville and Madras tomorrow (January 19^th), Bend and Klamath Falls on Friday and Lakeview on Saturday.

“In order to give people the opportunity to attend a town hall without having to drive in difficult winter weather conditions, we felt it was better to cancel these meetings and reschedule them when the weather improves,” said Tom Towslee, Wyden’s state communications director.

When the town halls are rescheduled they will be posted on the senator’s website at www.wyden.senate.gov
