Portland, OR – A taxiway repaving project financed in part by the Federal Aviation Administration’s Airport Improvement Program is underway at the Bend Municipal Airport. The project represents the importance of federal investment in infrastructure projects that create jobs at aviation related businesses.
Senator Wyden and local officials will visit the project to talk about the benefits to Oregon contained the FAA bill, including the repaving project and creation of unmanned aerial vehicle (drone) testing areas, possibly in the southeastern Oregon. The bill also creates more direct flights from the West Coast to Washington, D.C.
