Wyden Attends Douglas Complex Wildfire Briefing

This past weekend, Senator Wyden visited the Douglas Complex wildfire camp in Glendale. Along with Governor Kitzhaber and Senator Jeff Merkley, he attended a wildfire briefing and met with fire crews and forest service officials. As the increasingly frequent and dangerous forest fires in Southern Oregon -including the Douglas Complex wildfire- show, there must be a shift in federal policy so the focus is on fire prevention with more money spent preventing fires and less money fighting them.
